 COVId-19 pandemic has changed the entire outlook of 2020. People have experienced great inconvenience worldwide. This pandemic has brought great instability in the economic conditions of many developing and developed countries.

 Delhi

The Capital had approximately a 15% positivity rate around November 15 but the graph has declined in the last week. On December 1st the number of cases in Delhi was less than 5000 which means around 7.37& positivity rate. The number of coronavirus tests in Delhi was also ramping up from 1,00,000 to 1,20,000. 

The results of these daily tests revealed that the number of cases and the positivity rate in Delhi is going down. The recovery rate of infected people in Delhi is also quite high. Delhiites and the Delhi government are surely cumulating their efforts and contributing their bit to restrict the transmission of this dreadful virus and observe all the necessary precautions.

Chennai

The positivity rate in Chennai is less than 3.6% indicating that the city may soon see herd immunity and the city may not witness another spike again. The Corona test in Chennai was close to 10,000 marks leaving few festive days. Presently, Chennai is recording around 400 cases every day and the recovery rate of people here is exceptional. 

Chennai is among the fewest large cities in India showing a consistent declining graph. The number of deaths in Chennai due to coronavirus is less than 10 as of now. However, government officials still urge people, especially senior citizens, to stay indoors and limit their contact with others.

The COVId-19 positivity rate in India is still below 7.5%. This shows that the transmission and spread of the virus are now decreased. The substantial increase in testing has shown a great decline in the positivity rate and has given a ray of hope for stability in the country.
